You should be able to answer this question with a simple “yes” or “no”.
Any shade of grey means your answer to the above question is probably closer to “No”, which in today’s business environment means you’re leaving money on the table.
By taking the time to understand your business and employing best practice website design techniques, we’ll deliver a great looking website that delivers results.
The most important part of our website design process, where we’ll sit down with you and ask some important questions.
Who are your customers, what makes them tick and where do they hang out? By taking the time to really get to know your business we’ll be able to design and build for you a great looking website geared to deliver results.
Every business has a great story to tell, but often we find this story isn’t very well organised.
A key part of our website design process is taking the information you provide us and re-organising it with clear hierarchy so that your customer can find what they’re looking for and digest the main points without having to read every word.
When asked the question “what is the primary objective of your website?”, usually people say they want it to make the phone ring, or generate enquiries.
While this is an important goal, we also look at other opportunities for lead generation. In short – if you have a customer that isn’t quite ready to pick up the phone or send you an email, let’s think about what other value you could offer that might convince them to handover their email address or phone number.
When it comes to ranking on Google, not all websites are created equal. Your choice of CMS and code structure has a significant impact.
We build all our websites to best practice guidelines, making sure that Google can index every page on your website. Our content management system is among the most search-friendly on the planet and we’ll also advise you on how to write Google-friendly content.
If you’ve been looking into a website redesign, you’ve probably come across the term “responsive design”.
Put simply this means your website will be designed to look good and work well by adapting to different screen sizes – from mobile and tablets to laptops and larger screens. Although not every website we build is responsive, we’ll strongly recommend this as an upgrade if 10% or more of your traffic is coming from mobile devices.
We follow a simple but important website design process.
Getting to know you
Firstly, we’ll sit down and take the time to understand your business, customers & objectives.
Adding value for your customers
Armed with this understanding we’ll then plan your new website, by asking some key questions – what are the key drivers for each of your customer groups, therefore what content is required? What enhanced functionality would add value? What from your existing website should we re-use, restructure or do away with?
At the end of this process we come back to you with a formal proposal including sitemap, functionality overview and itemised pricing.
With a plan agreed to drive the project forward, we’ll start work on website design.
The less exciting part…
First step is wire-framing – we’ll work with you to map out content for all key pages to ensure all the important information is captured then roughly sketch out how they are going to look in black & white.
Let there be colour!
Once we have conceptual idea of what the website will look like, we then add “brand” – colours, typography & imagery. If you have brand guidelines we’ll work from these, otherwise we’ll be happy to take some creative license. If you don’t have a brand or logo, we can help with this.
Time to get going
Once you’ve signed off the design, we finalise the build.
During this process we refine the html & css and implement responsive design if you have requested this as an upgrade. Your website is then tested to ensure it renders correctly in all the important web browsers.
Making it your own
The final step is customisation of and integration with the content management system so you are able to load & manage all your own content. Once you’ve loaded up all the base content and checked all is ok, it’s time to go live.
Manage your own content
If you can't measure it, you can't manage it ...
